-19- Yuputka

Standard

Noun. From Ulwa.

“The sensation of something crawling on your skin”

Goose_bumps

As you might guess from the picture, this could be similar to the English sensation of ‘goose bumps’ or ‘goose pimples.’ However, yuputka tends to lean towards a more specific feeling; one that you would get if you were on your own in the evening and something light brushed past you. It’s almost invoking some kind of fear, and not just a subconscious reaction.

(If you’ve never heard of the Ulwa language, it comes from the Misumalpan languages that have Native American roots!)
