-37- Tushka

Standard

Noun. From Ukrainian.

“An MP or official who changes their political affiliation or switched parties”

Tushka

It was difficult to find an image for this one. All I could think of was this penguin wishing to become a tushka and join the bears.

Or something.

Anyway, tushka, when translated literally, means “the body of a dead animal.” I’m not entirely sure whether there are hints of negativity or malice when this phrase is used, but it certainly seems like there would be in an English-speaking context.

Hopefully the animal carcasses won’t involve the above penguin-bear and bear-bear.
